The Brookside Club Of Saratoga is a private member-owned, family-oriented swim and tennis club nestled among the trees in a quiet residential Saratoga neighborhood. Active swim and tennis programs for adults and children create an outstanding environment for the entire family. As a member-owned club, Brookside offers many advantages in addition to its numerous sports programs, and social events, all on an expansive club grounds.
Our History
The Brookside Club of Saratoga was founded in 1958 by six families known as the founding members. These families wanted a place that offered swimming, tennis, and a great social atmosphere.
After working with the City and the neighbors, Brookside was formed. The original club included just three tennis courts and a small pool.
The six founding members were:
- Mr. and Mrs. B. Gordon Cameron
- Mr. and Mrs. V. David Demarest Jr.
- Mr. and Mrs. Reg Foster
- Mr. and Mrs. Faber L. Johnston Jr.
- Mr. and Mrs. B. Earl Lewis
- Mr. and Mrs. William R. McMahon
More than 6 decades since those six founding members set forth their plan, to create Brookside, the club has blossomed into something the founders probably never imagined possible. The club now includes nine tennis courts, an expanded pool, and an extensive clubhouse that includes a children’s play room. Not to mention the children’s playground and the large grass area adjacent to the pool. With a close knit membership of 250 families, Brookside is a wonderful place for the whole family to enjoy.

Facilities
Reservation system– All club facilities (pool, tennis, and social areas) are subject to reservation through YourCourts.com
(no walk-ons, although you can reserve online anytime as you arrive, or request assistance at the clubhouse office on the day of.
Guest Fees– Best value around! Just $5 per adult, $3 per children, invite your family and friends to come enjoy with you at our wonderful facilities.
Clubhouse / Kitchen – Enjoy our large naturally lit clubhouse area with chairs, tables, couches, a fireplace, and a big screen HD TV. Members have full access to our member kitchen with two ovens and two refrigerators, as well as a Keurig coffee machine with complimentary K Cups, and automatic hot tea kettle with assorted tea. Our kitchen is fully loaded with plates, utensils, pots, pans,
you name it!
Pool – Open year round, 25 yards, and heated to 82 degrees, our pool facilities are the perfect host to recreational and competitive swimmers alike! We have great pool availability, with an on-line reservation system that includes same day or advanced reservation booking with YourCourts.com
Pool Deck – Kick back on one of our sun loungers, or host a family lunch at one of our BBQ areas. With high end gas grills, multiple tables with sun umbrellas, filtered water dispenser, and a large ice maker all accessible on the pool deck, the Brookside pool deck is a wonderful relaxing place for the whole family to enjoy.
Tennis Courts– Our club boasts 7 regulation hard courts, plus 2 dedicated courts for pickle ball and a ball machine for member use. When you need a hitting partner on short notice the ball machine is a great way to satisfy your urge. Locker Rooms – We have both indoor and outdoor showers, open and private changing areas, lockers, and hair-dryers available to our members. **Please Note** Lockers are day use only.
Outside Fun – Brookside is also home to 3 large grass areas, ping pong table, children’s hand ball wall, and large shady enclosed children’s playground.
